i know, i know, in the past few years, gap's merchandise selection has been less than stellar, but they do have great basics ... + everyone needs a few go-to casual pieces. i usually pop in the store when shopping anyway because once in a while it's possible to snag a really great deal. oh + they usually have adorable flats for cheap. my top 5 in stock now (all available at gap.com):
